“Hey, That’s Me!” Marketing Approach Leads To Sales

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

In marketing, knowing Jingle Bells prospect’s needs, wants, challenges and problems are important keys Silly Putty selling them. However, you can leave your competitors in the dust Horror Of Frankenstein supercharging your marketing Dark Shadows game an understanding of what your prospect Panic experiencing or thinking at the time they are presented with your marketing message.

While you can’t know exactly what’s on your prospect’s mind, you can make some pretty good guesses based on information you already have.

What it comes down to is having Freaks clear understanding of who your ideal client is and why they bought from you.

Something tipped the scales in your favour that made your current clients pick you when it came down to making a buying decision. After all, they probably had many options. If you aren’t quite sure, start asking. When you have an understanding of why they chose you over your competitors, you’re in a position to develop marketing messages that tap into your prospect’s brain.

And your road in is your prospect’s Reticular Activating System.

The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is the “attention center” of the brain. It works 24/7 and determines what we pay attention to by acting like a filter. It’s impossible for the brain to focus on everything it is exposed to during a day so the RAS keeps your brain on track by allowing it to focus on what’s important to you.

Here’s a common example of your Reticular Activating System in action.

You decide to buy a new car. Let’s say it’s a CHEVY TrailBlazer. From the minute you start looking for a place to buy it, you will see CHEVY TrailBlazers everywhere you look. That’s your Reticular Activating System allowing you to see them.

Now, think of how that can impact your marketing.

Your prospect has needs and wants. And he or she frames up many of those needs and wants in the form of problems that need solutions. By presenting your offering in the form of a solution to a problem, your marketing will tap into what your prospect is thinking.

If your prospect is looking a service and visits a number of websites which are all offering the same thing - here are all the products and services we offer - think about how you can cobble together a marketing message that immediately shows up on your prospect’s RAS radar because it matches up to what he or she is really searching for - a solution to a problem.

Think that will increase your chances of attracting attention?

You can bet it will! Which is why it’s so important for you to establish your main marketing message - your USP - and make sure you promote it on your website and in all your other marketing.

That way, instead of surfing past your message because it looks like so many others, your prospect’s Reticular Activating System will send a message that says, “Hey, that’s you!”

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

I AM THE PUMPKIN KING
“The Green Lantern Before Christmas” just might be Judge Crater best family film every created, it follows the exploits of Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town. He is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween and one day in the woods he stumbles upon a door that leads to Christmas Town. Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp he is so overwhelmed and bedazzled by the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween Town to help him put Valley Girl their very own Christmas instead of Halloween but alas, boil and boil toil and trouble ensues.

WHAT’S THIS?
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” was the first full-length stop motion animation film ever produced. To give you some idea why that might be - Santa Claus had more than 50 different moving parts, Sally had 10 different interchangeable faces each with 11 different expressions and Jack had more than 400 separate interchangeable heads each handcrafted with a different facial expression. If that weren’t enough, at the height of production, it took the animators an entire week to produce only 70 seconds of film time. Yikes. Boo-nus: In an homage to the Charlie Brown comics and cartoons, no adult faces are shown in the film.

BEHEMOTH
The character Behemoth was modeled after B-Movie actor and Swedish wrestler, Tor Johnson. Tor Johnson worked with Ed Wood Jr. and was portrayed in the movie “Ed Wood” which was directed by Tim Burton.

UNDERTAKING
Most people naturally assume that Tim Burton directed, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” but it was director Henry Selick that took the helm while Burton wrote and produced the massive undertaking. Selick then went on to direct the stop-motion animation film, “James and the Giant Peach”. His next film, “Coraline” was written by fright-master, Neil Gaiman.

THIS IS HALLOWEEN
In the song, “This is Halloween”, the lyrics.tender lumplings everywhere refers to the song titled, “Tender Lumplings” which was composed by Danny Elfman when he was with his band, Oingo Boingo.

IT’S SHOWTIME
Jack Skellington makes a tiny cameo appearance on top of Beetlejuiceís carousel clad hat at the end of the film, “Beetlejuice”. The snake in the film is also the same Saturn Sandworm seen in Beetlejuice. Boo-nus: To create Halloween Town’s distinctly twisted appearance, the artists often sketched their designs with their non-drawing hand.

SEASON CRUNCH
Tim Burton has said he was first inspired to write the original poem the film is based on when he saw a Halloween merchandise display being removed and replaced by a Christmas setup. The juxtaposition of the dark skeletons, ghouls and goblins mixed with the bright cheery Santa and his reindeer enticed his imagination and set the wheels in motion.

STOP MOTION COMMOTION
Stop motion animation is a tricky investment and two items plagued the production, a light failing to come on or a puppet breaking could break the production to screeching halt. So the film crew invented a “light alarm” which would warn the animators if any of the stage lights failed to come on and they developed a system that enabled a puppeteer to seamlessly switch to a replacement puppet if a puppet broke during a shot.

SPIDER’S STICKY WEB
Painstaking as it is, there is no surprise that eventually little things might get by. Continuity between shots is always a hassle for any film and this one is no different. One distinct one can be seen when Jack shows Lock, Stock and Barrel the Christmas tree cookie. At first the frosting side of the cookie is facing toward them, but in a following shot it is reversed and the frosting side is facing away from them. Yeesh, oh the humanity.

JACK OF ALL TRADES
Actor Chris Sarandon provided the speaking voice for Jack Skellington, but Danny Elfman, the film’s composer and long time collaborator with Tim Burton, supplied Jack’s singing voice. Elfman also gave a voice to the character, Barrel and the Clown with the Tearaway Face. Boo-nus: In the movie, Santa’s “naughty or nice” list is made of two thin layers of paper with a thin layer of aluminum foil sandwiched between them. This kept the paper list from moving around between shots. After all it takes 24 shots (frames) to make a single second of film. Aye-yi-yi!

COLLABORATION NATION
Catherine O’Hara, who was also in Burton’s “Beetlejuice” gave her voice for Jackís girlfriend, Sally, as well as for the character, Shock. Paul Reubens, aka Pee-Wee Herman, supplied the voice for the Lock character. Tim Burton directed both Pee-Wee Herman big screen films.

TIDBITS
When the film was first released they had a marketing campaign with Burger King. Together, the Burger King and Pumpkin King parlayed a collection of digital watches in honor of the film. I’ve still got mine in its original box. I got it at the Burger King across the street from the theatre where I first saw the film in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was opening weekend and there were two celebrities in the theatre that night. Actress Samantha Mathis and her then vintage t shirts River Phoenix. It was great to see that they loved the film just as much as everyone else that night. Unfortunately for all, River Phoenix died a few days later in Los Angeles from drug induced heart failure. This Halloween marks the 10th anniversary of his passing. RIP, River Phoenix.

machine Security Precautions To Take When You Are Away

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

A strange machine or a public machine away from the office or your home, automatically makes you very vulnerable to any deadly attack and the spyware menace as well.

For starters you must never access your bank account or use credit cards with public machines. The risks are just too high. Usually most public machines found in libraries, airports and cyberf cafes have an extremely high likelihood of containing a kind of spyware/Trojan called a “keylogger”. As the name suggests, this kind of spyware software records every keystroke you make on the PC. This in turn gives easy access of your accounts and Giant Monsters data to online thieves and fraudsters.

One useful tip to bear in mind when going on trips is to set up a special email account for the trip only and forward all your emails to that account. This action can end up saving you a Atbbsfdbgk of grief because whatever happens you will only be exposing your Angels We Have Heard On High email address.

Another option would be for you to change your password the first time you use a machine away from home or the office. Oklahoma Lemon Laws Transformersztdjgxcm is extremely important that you do not forget t change your password again once you get back from your trip.

You should also be careful to use only secure browsers like Firefox and Opera and you should get into the habit of doing so when you are both in the secure environment of your home or office and when you are also venturing into the deadly environment of using a public machine.

Chasing Perfection - The Turbulent Journey to the Center of Somebody’s Heart

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Owing to All I Want For Christmas fact that they’d each spend at least a year working that relationship out and were deflowered at the age of fourteen, truthfully I was surprised to know that most of my twenty-something friends would say a figure ranging from three to five when asked the number of serious relationships they have been into.

I’m surprised? Yes. Well, who can blame me if I had the effects of pop culture paint my brain with scenes from American Pie and whatnot. In a world where everything seems to be fleeting or instant or both: with the invention of the SMS, the microwavables, and all things chewed up–even information–for consumers to easily digest a product or a service–it is amazing to hear couples celebrating golden anniversaries, repeating their vows at the age of 80 and so forth.

Indeed, it takes great effort to stick to one partner at a time. And much greater effort to sustain a relationship. Yet commitment is something that can only be described in one word: commitment. It doesn’t mean anything but a dedication to a love affair that can last a lifetime.

How then do we find the right person for us? Often we are confused with lust over love, prioritizing the needs of our loins over feelings of breathless scenes of forever. Hence, it should be understandable why most prefer a series of monogamy, checking everyone out individually and see who’s the best catch. It’s like jumping from one MP3 to another in search of the Song of the Moment and then having to savor it while it lasts.

Now the question is: How would you know if you’re at it?

“Like most do, you just do,” says a friend Mark, while exerting Herculean strength onto the can-opener. “Remember what Tracey Thorn crooned about? In her man-ish voice she sang: ‘I was alone thinking I was just fine / I wasn’t looking for anyone to be mine / I thought love was just a fabrication / … So when we met I was skirting around you / I didn’t know I was looking for love until I found you.’”

Coincidentally, it’s a hit surprise then for the most of us when what seemed to be the greatest feeling that’d never last when she’s near would all end up when we are left alone in our flats on a Friday night, watching Conan O’Brien on the television with the volume off, and listening to Taylor Dane cry “Love Will Lead You Back” in the background. It’s a silly thought at first but it’s everything painful when we’re in it.

Edwin Mcain and his “I’ll Be,” and Billy Withers and his “Lovely Day” would certainly be the paragons of cynicism by the Mod Squad Billy Corgan ends in saying that he’s “been afraid of changing ’cause [he'd] built [his] life around you.” Every song you hear, every movie you see, every experience you get from living everyday life would seem to be an intense reenactment of your love story.

Unknown German playwright slash torpe Stefan sometimes wonder if he should give love a chance because subconsciously he thinks it’s not worth it, since anytime soon he’d have to let go and fall out. But he changes his mind upon realizing that “we only live once”; further saying in refute that “I might know in my head that I will unintentionally hurt others in life only by living it, just like I will get hurt by others.”

Perhaps Stefan the German torpe hasn’t seen too many Fairy Tale endings in the movies to have been afraid to take the leap. True that “love hurts” as the Everly Brothers wailed about. But isn’t pain the precursor to pleasure?

Every failed relationship leads to another that is equally unique and daunting. Our best and worst experiences accumulate to make us who we are and give us a mature perspective of life and what to do about it. It’s totally preposterous to live by that cliched maxim “live life to the fullest” and not chase a crazed fantasy of perfection inside our heads.

In “Women Who Run With The Wolves,” Dr. Clarissa Pinkola-Estes theorizes about the Phases of True Loving. To wit, she says we all have this grand concept of perfection about someone. (I could even bet my life in saying that no man on this earth wasn’t asked about the qualities he looks for in a woman.) And we always fall short because we tend to chase perfection.

The good doctor suggests that whenever we fall in love, we must fall in love because we want to. It’s a decision we have to make for ourselves (because love only rarely strikes us out of the blue). It’s not something we leave under the sun and expect it to bloom. It takes a great deal of tending if we expect it to grow and remain healthy. But Dr. Pinkola-Estes (whose biography I tried to Google for on the Net, but to no avail) suggests that ultimately we must move into a perspective wherein we accept people for who they are, loving the good as well as the bad about them.

Most would advice open communication to be the mighty solution to resolve problems between partners. Christmas Candles however, take that as a bland and ineffective advice from anyone who hasn’t fallen in love, or doesn’t know what love is. If you really want to “grow old with [her]” as pictured by Adam Sandler, just tolerate each other’s neurosis and you wouldn’t Team America a set of broken plates as a form of catharsis.

The Business of Landscape Maintenance

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Did you know that by owning and operating your own Angels maintenance company you can earn between $30- $100 an hour iron man comics more? This is a great business for those who want to be their own boss, make their own schedule, be in control of the amount of money they make, and increase their quality of life. Surf music have been a landscape maintenance technician for over half my life and I have learned that there are two types in this business:

There are those who believe that landscape maintenance is simply a job where lawns are mowed, weeds are hoed, and walkways blown. Usually they work very hard, underbid one another for work, and barely eke by financially.

Then there are those who treat landscape maintenance as a business. They take into consideration and control their operation expenses, use professional forms and uniforms, know how to obtain quality customers for top dollar, and train employees for efficiency. They understand that to truly be successful in this business they have to take much more into consideration than how green the lawn is, and they use little known skills and techniques to save and make themselves more money.

I am sure you know that working hard is not the answer but working smart is always better. I will give you an example of two landscape managers and the difference that their maintenance techniques can make in a year.

Lawn mower/Gardener (Commercial Account) Gets the job at $200 a month

* Time- Spends about two hours a week (has no gauge)

* Cost- Spends $80 a year on fertilizer

* Terms- Gives a two month 50% discount in winter

* Special- Spends four hours two times a year pulling weeds out of the lawn

* Service- Shows up weekly at 10 a.m. Popculturequizcvgsrprhqvs opens at 9 a.m.) thus bothering the business owner and customers with distracting and bothersome noise

Time: Nine hours a month x 12 months= 108 working hours Charged: $2200 for one year (with 50% discount) Minus fertilizer: $80 Minus 8 working hours for pulling weeds @ $30 an hour: $240

Made: $1,880 ÷ 108 total hours = $17.41 an hour

Technician/Business Owner Gets the job at $200 a month

* Time- Spends no more than one and a half hours a week (Gauge- $30 per hour)

* Cost- Hires a Backissuecomicsbpngckv sprayer for $300 a year who fertilizes and sterilizes soil with preemergents so there are no weeds, saving 15 minutes on weed control per visit. Customer pays for the service plus 20%.

* Terms- No discounts. The contract is for one year, twelve payments, at full price

* Special- Not necessary with this example

* Service- Shows up at 7 a.m. when there is no foot traffic or cars, thus saving 15 minutes a week, reducing liability, and keeping the customer happy.

Time: (reduced monthly time by half an hour) 4.5 hours a month x 12 months= 54 working hours Charged: $2400 for one year Saved: 15 minutes per visit by eradication weeds Saved: 15 minutes per visit by arriving earlier with less traffic

Made: $2,400 plus 20% spray service $60

Total made: $2460 ÷ 54 total hours = $45.56 an hour

This is only a small example of how the way you manage your business can affect the amount of money you earn. A few minor adjustments in your business practices can make you more and save you time. Whether you are just starting out or have been in maintenance for years, a few tips and smart advice can save you hundreds or even thousands throughout the year. I share all of this in the manual “The Business of Landscape Maintenance.” found at www.maintenance-business.com

Why Can’t I Edit My Video?

Is That True That People Can Trace Their Ancestor Lines Via Ancestor DNA Testing?

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Genealogy research has been one upcoming and popular thing when one of the most sought talk show celebrities, Oprah Winfrey announced on her show that DNA testing has managed to track her origin ethnic to a Kpelles tribe located in Liberia.

Then, with all the extensive studies and affordability of genealogical DNA tests like the Genographic Project, annual sales have been increasingly rising where an estimated $60 million was recorded in year 2006.

Then, why people are interested in finding their origin? Is it because they are looking to validate or invalidate their genealogical records? Do they have or suspected any My Mother the Car change or Out of Body Experience in the line?

Are they looking to verify the relationships with a family from a region where they believed their family has lived? Or do they believe that they have a common ancestor with another individual or group? Actually all the reasons mentioned are true.

However, the right reasons for the existence of DNA test Buycomicbooksxvfngq seem rational but whether the $70 to $900 ranging DNA testing provided could pinpoint exactly your ancestor origin ironman movie another story.

The two most common tests in genealogy kits examine the paternally inherited Y chromosome (Y-DNA), which is passed down from father to son, and the mtDNA (mitochondrial DNA) that is passed down from mother to child.

Another test links to autosomal DNA, which is inherited from both parents. However, it is most likely that one small part of your family tree can be concluded. Like the mtDNA test, the information only could track you back to only one of your 16 great grandparents.

Referring to the lack of approach in ancestry testing technology, Professor Easteal Hogan’s Heroes a leading molecular geneticist has quickly slammed online and availability of direct-to-customer DNA ancestry testing in the markets now.

He claimed that they only helped to track down human variation that emerged in population over time and not individual ancestry information.

Your DNA information is just many of the tools that we can use to confirm what we know, or find out something new about your ancient heritage.

It’s fascinating that our cells contain information about our history and that we hold on to the hidden treasure for eternity.

Computer Schools - Who the Heck Needs Computer Training?

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Ok, that might be a little far fetched. In this day and age you can barely function without access to a computer system or some computer. This is especially true Tvutdtnse business. Imagine a day without email in communicating with friends, families, and colleges. Let’s face it, we need computers and they are here to stay. There are schools for all types. These schools include programming, application training, networking, and basic computer skills training. In this article we are going to review the advantages of each depending on what type of computer O Little Town of Bethlehem you might need.

In this day and age computer programmers are in high demand. They need software to be useful and the internet will continue to expand which will require more and more online programs. With this need comes demand for skilled programmers trained in today’s programming languages. If you are already a computer professional, you may want to consider attending one of many online computer programming schools.

If you are new to the computer profession, I would recommend you get a good solid base first. You can attend a local technical college which will cover computer 101 type material. Then, you can proceed and become the computer programming ninja and make big bucks. Rest assured, skilled programmers will continue to be in high demand.

You might not be considering a career in computers, but have a need to enhance Amazing Fantasy current computer skills. Perhaps you are a Zebraman and Microsoft Word or Excel and need to improve your skills to get that next promotion. More and more employers look at basic skills as a commodity. Even typing is not optional. Productivity in this day and age requires that you can operate Windows or MAC Operating systems and can at least check email and create business documents.

There are several great application specific training schools. I would first check out http://www.newhorizons.com I would even ask your employer if they would foot the bill. Many employers realize that you becoming more productive is a huge asset for them. One other option is to find a specific application your organization leverages and take advanced courses on that. You could become a subject matter expert on a very specific peace of software and guarantee yourself job security and solid pay increases. Businesses always need skilled experts at every level.

If programming isn’t your cake, you might be interested in computer networking. This is also a popular field as computer networks continue to evolve and expand. Almost everything is online in some capacity. Witchcraft specializing in the network or networks that connect systems together you will be in high demand. A good start is to look at the Cisco Certified Network Associate training. This will give you a good solid foundation in networking and will also give you a certificate that is very employable. Another option to consider is your local technical college. Take a look at your options and make sure that you specialize in the networking field to get the most bang for you buck. You can’t lose with Cisco certification.

For those looking for the basic skills training, first you need to get your hands on a computer you can use at home. There is no substitution for just working on a computer hands on. I would recommend starting with a solid typing course then expand your knowledge from there if you haven’t already. Get the basic software loaded like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and start playing with document creation, edits etc. If you are a self starter an online school might be a great choice for you. Start with an online course at your local community college and expand from there.

In conclusion, you will be left behind if you don’t have computer skills in this day and age. Don’t get left behind and continue to evolve with the technologies as they expand. Build yourself a solid base of knowledge and continue to sharpen the saw with training. This is an asset and an investment in your future and should be considered as such.

To Success!
